Climate Change Challenge: less water, worse droughts

Grant Award: $238,402; Year Awarded: 2017

Xerces Society will make California’s Central Valley more climate resilient for pollinators by creating 20 miles of hedgerow habitat on farms by applying seed mixes and methods of habitat restoration and land management adapted to future climate scenarios. The resulting linear corridors and stepping stones of high-quality, climate-resilient plantings will provide habitat for pollinators now and into the future.
